HÖRMANN Intralogistics appoints Rainer Baumgartner as new Managing Director

Munich, July 01, 2024 - HÖRMANN Intralogistics Solutions GmbH has appointed experienced intralogistics expert Rainer Baumgartner as a further Managing Director alongside Steffen Dieterich from July 1, 2024.

In his new role, Rainer Baumgartner will primarily be responsible for the Customer Service, IT Solutions, New Technologies and AutoStore departments. With his expertise in the areas of artificial intelligence and data science, WMS software, the small parts warehouse world, customer service and international experience, he is the ideal addition to Hörmann Intralogistics and will play a key role in shaping the company's further development.

HÖRMANN Intralogistics is known for customized intralogistics solutions that cover the entire material flow - automated warehouse systems in combination with robotic solutions, managed and controlled by the high-performance warehouse management software HiLIS. Founded in 1987, the company is part of the Hörmann Group and has grown to over 300 employees, particularly in recent years.

Disruptions and paradigm shifts in intralogistics, such as complete automation, artificial intelligence and the e-commerce boom, require a strong strategic focus at management level. Rainer Baumgartner brings with him an exciting professional career in which he has already played a key role in strong growth and success. He graduated from the HTL Leonding with a focus on IT & General Management and continued his education in Strategic Management and Corporate Entrepreneurship at the Johannes Kepler University Linz. He began his career as a software developer and IT project manager before joining the TGW Logistics Group in 2007, where he held various key positions. Most recently, he drove innovation and trends as Senior Vice President Future Fulfillment Center. Prior to this, Baumgartner had overall responsibility for Amazon as Senior Vice President Global Account. Another important position was his role as COO of TGW China.
